Hello! I'm Rocky, the busy bee behind The Beehive Bakery! ​

My love for all things food started when I was just three years old. I loved watching Julia Child on her various cooking shows, enthusiastically whipping up delicious meals. I would race into the kitchen to find my mom and tell her, "If we used this, this and this, it would be delicious!" My parents recognized my interest in cooking at that young age and always let me help in the kitchen with family meals and, my favorite, desserts.

I attended culinary school in Springfield, MO and started making cakes and cupcakes for my friends and family. During this time, I took an interest in recipe writing and stayed after hours to pick the brain of the pastry chef instructor on how to write recipes. The more I studied the science behind ingredients, the more interested in all-natural ingredients I became. I made the decision to pursue only using natural ingredients, flavors and colors.

After a request to make a gluten-free cake for a family member a few years ago, I have made it my mission to be able to create any dessert for every special dietary need (gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, Vegan, allergies, etc.). I pour my heart into creating recipes that taste just like "the real thing", because I believe everyone deserves to have a treat!
Over the last 10+ years, I have dedicated myself to researching natural, quality ingredients to make the best cakes, cupcakes, cookies and desserts. I finally mustered up the courage to officially launch my home-based bakery in January 2022!
